The mediating Role of Administrative Leadership in the Relationship between Crisis Management and Change Management by Application to Imam Al-Hadi College in the Period from (2017-2023)

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of visual management on enhancing institutional excellence at the University of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences, with a particular focus on the mediating role of inspirational leadership within this relationship. The research was motivated by the limited clarity regarding the influence of contemporary management approaches in Islamic academic institutions. Accordingly, it sought to address several research questions related to the extent of visual management implementation, the presence of inspirational leadership traits, and the overall level of institutional excellence at the university during the period from 2019 to 2024.

A descriptive-analytical methodology was adopted, and field data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) via AMOS software. The study sample consisted of a group of university staff members and administrative leaders.

The results revealed statistically significant relationships between visual management and institutional excellence (β = 0.47, p < 0.001), as well as between inspirational leadership and institutional excellence (β = 0.35, p = 0.003). Furthermore, a robust association was found between visual management and inspirational leadership (β = 0.55, p < 0.001). The analysis also confirmed the mediating role of inspirational leadership in reinforcing the effect of visual management on institutional excellence.

The proposed structural model exhibited strong fit indices (CFI, TLI, RMSEA), indicating the reliability and validity of the model. Based on these findings, the study offered several recommendations: enhancing the adoption of visual management tools, fostering inspirational leadership competencies, promoting participatory management practices, institutionalizing excellence through strategic and motivational leadership, and encouraging further empirical research in this area.
